Friends and spouses must make their own arrangements, unless they are riding with you. kalahari Lodge will accommodate them with pleasure.

Marrick Game Farm

Marrick Safari has a choice of accommodation available, catering to every taste or budget. Whether you like the comforts of home, or you prefer to rough it under the open skies of the wide African bush, allow us to tailor your stay to suit your personal needs or circumstance.

A wide variety of game is available to the discerning wildlife connoisseur.

Well-trained staff who share an unwavering commitment to sound ecological principles, together with the fine quality of Marrick’s bush and veldt, ensure that the game on Marrick is kept in exceptional physical condition.

Types of antelope species resident on the property include Kudu, Eland, Blesbok, Gemsbok (Oryx), Black Wildebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Steenbok, Common Duiker, Burchell’s Zebra, Mountain Reedbuck, Waterbuck, Impala, and Springbuck. Additionally, we are proud to have introduced and bred our very own herd of Giraffe, the numbers of which are increasing year by year. And of course, a sighting of the ubiquitous Warthog is guaranteed…

Nocturnal animals such as Springhare, Scrub Hare and Porcupine abound. However, do not be too surprised to also see a rare Aardvark, Aardwolf, Smith’s Red Rock Hare or Bat-eared Fox or two crossing your path on one of our must-do night-time game drives.

Marrick Safari is also a Birders' paradise. In fact, we have regular guests who visit us just for the birdlife. Bird species include South Africa's national bird - the Blue Crane Flamingo, Ostrich as well as numerous smaller species.

Country Cottage
Country Cottage sleeps 9 people.

Guest House

The guest house sleeps 10 people in its five bedrooms which range from single twin beds to double bed rooms -en -suite. This luxurious accommodation also includes a lounge/dining room with its own fire place. It is situated close to the entertainment area with its games room (Billiards/Snooker, table tennis), a sparkling swimming pool, patio and braai (barbeque) area.

Impala Cottage

The impala cottage sleeps 10 people. It offers a picturesque view over the pan.

If you prefer to experience the thrills of looking at wildlife from your doorstep, the Impala Cottage is the place to stay. It is situated in the heart of the ranch with its own lapa to recreate that real African atmosphere.

Hunters Cottage

Sleeps four in two bedrooms-en -suite and is air conditioned.

Kalahari Lodge

Located in the Northern Cape Province Kalahari Lodge boasts a number of attractions, from a A la carte restaurant, spacious conferencing centres, to the peaceful and serene location. Our restaurant offers a wide variety of traditional cuisine for the food connoisseurs. The surroundings are peaceful and pleasantly secure. We make it our goal to assure that your stay is a memorable one.

Kalahari Lodge is situated near the Big Hole and many other historic tourist attractions. The Big Hole plays a large role in the history of Kimberley and is a must see for any tourist.

Kalahari Lodge offers 30 rooms comprising 3 family rooms sleeping 2 adults & 2 children, 27 luxurious rooms sleeping 1 or 2 persons and 2 interleading rooms. All our rooms have 10 TV channels (6 DStv + 4 normal), air-con and telephone, 2 rooms are wheel chair friendly

The Restaurant includes an upstairs loft that accommodates 150 seated patrons, buffet counter and separate Ladies Bar.
